One long requested addition to ODK's mobile client has been admin mode. Today, I'm excited to announce that Nafundi, with support from eHealth Nigeria, has just added admin mode to ODK Collect!
Admin mode enables you to customize what features in ODK Collect are available to your data collectors. For example, you can choose what buttons appear on the main screen in order to prevent collectors from accidentally editing or deleting saved forms. Admin mode can also prevent collectors from jumping to arbitrary prompts, renaming saved forms, or changing any of ODK Collect's settings unless they know the admin password.
You can try admin mode in ODK Collect v1.2.2 on the Google Play Store or at the ODK Downloads site.
In early 2018, polio virus was detected in the sewers of Mogadishu, Somalia and the government moved quickly to vaccinate the country's children in order to prevent a potential outbreak. A vaccination campaign targeting more than 726,000 children was launched in the Banadir and Lower and Middle Shabelle regions. The campaign was carried out by some 3,500 staffers and Nafundi assisted by enabling real-time tracking of vaccination coverage using ODK. Read more.
